What are we looking for in a Quality Improvement Coordinator?

The Quality Improvement (QI) Coordinator is responsible for managing Comprehensive Healthcare's agency-wide quality improvement process. The QI Coordinator organizes the full QI program, including the collection & analysis of relevant data, developing & distributing data reports, implementing the client satisfaction and other surveys and evaluating the results, and facilitating QI training for new employees. This position is an integral part of the Quality Improvement Board (QIB) and supports the committee with all aspects of Improving Organizational Performance (IOP) projects. The QI Coordinator works closely with our Information Services department on data collection & reporting and with our Utilization Management Coordinator for all UM/UR projects. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, a solid clinical background, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

QI Coordinator duties may include:

  • collecting, interpreting, and reporting on data to support QI processes
  • supporting the QIB with development, design, implementation, and evaluation of IOPs
  • acting as liaison between Comprehensive teams and QIB to integrate QI principles and practices throughout the organization
  • collaborating with the UM Coordinator on chart reviews and data analysis
  • assisting with the presentation of QI project data using QI tools
  • communicating QI concepts and program information throughout the agency
  • assisting with the Joint Commission self-assessment survey process for QI standards and planning improvements to address survey findings
  • making recommendations to the Senior Director for quality improvement
 
Position Requirements

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in social work, nursing, psychology, or a related field. Four years of experience in a medical or behavioral health setting, preferably in a managed care environment. Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement tools & techniques.
