What are we looking for in a Case Manager Assistant?

Case Manager Assistants at Comprehensive fill a supportive role on our residential treatment teams. Case Manager Assistants collaborate with therapists and case managers to develop and implement treatment plans, assist with documentation, and provide backup case management. Recognizing the complex needs beyond mental health and substance use treatment, Case Manager Assistants work with clients to build skills necessary for independent living, self-advocacy, treatment engagement, and social participation. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, knowledge of community resources, and a willingness to travel locally throughout the workday are necessary in this role. This position is part of our Supported Living team in Yakima, which supports clients who reside in our residential housing units.

Case Manager duties may include:

  • visiting a client in their home or apartment to deliver medications, check on safety issues, or assist with life skill development
  • coordinating with other service providers and treatment teams to expedite services and advocate on the client's behalf
  • monitoring clients' progress, symptoms, and medication response
  • assessing clients for safety risks and taking appropriate crisis intervention steps as necessary
  • assisting all team members as requested, which may include completing case-related paperwork, or making phone calls
  • providing or arranging transportation so clients can attend appointments, community outings, etc.
  • serving as backup when the primary case manager is unavailable
  • completing progress notes and all required documentation
Position Requirements

Education & Experience: Associate degree in social services or related field and six months of relevant experience

Professional Credentials: Eligible for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration

Other Requirements Driver's License, Vehicle Liability Insurance
