Dassault Falcon Jet, one of the most sought after brands in business aviation has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Director to lead our Human Resources Department in Wilmington, De.

In this role, the ideal candidate will recommend, develop and implement policies, procedures and programs for Wilmington service center location. They will collaborate/confer with DFJ Corporate HR on applicable programs, policies and initiatives. Additionally, this role manages disciplines relating to recruiting/onboarding, employee engagement, labor relations, training & development, salary/payroll administration and benefits administration.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Drive effective and sustained improvements relating to recruitment and retention, employee development and performance management; spearhead employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Oversee activities relating to labor relations; meet with union representatives, shop stewards and supervisors to resolve grievances; help prepare for arbitrations, NLRB hearings, and union negations.
  • Assist with contract interpretation and educating other managers
  • Investigate complaints; provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolutions
  • Investigate disciplinary issues, prepare related paperwork/documentation; assist supervisors in presenting discipline to employees
  • Manage and administer benefit programs, including company 401(k) and welfare programs (health, life, disability, etc.)
  • Coordinate and provide all data requirements to complete benefit plan audits by outside auditing firm and other compliance submissions (non-discrimination testing, 5500 filing, Summary Annual Reports, Summary Plan Descriptions, etc.)
  • Serve as HRIS coordinator to provide project management assistance in system support and maintenance, including upgrades or new implementations
  • Manage and maintain HR database; produce required and requested reports to meet both compliance and business needs (headcount, turnover, salary/merit administration, EEO-1, benefit reporting, etc.)
  • Oversee the integrity of employee records; including HR's role in data input for new hires, promotions, hires, and transfers
  • Manage adherence to company policies, attendance, occupational injuries, leaves of absence, standards of conduct, etc.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or comparable major 10 years professional experience in HR management, including benefits and compensation, employee relations, employment regulations (e.g. EEO, ADA, FMLA, Title VII, FLSA, OSHA, ADA, Workers' Comp, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Experience/familiarity with Union Environment (aptitude to gain in-depth knowledge of labor relations)
  • Experience in administering Drug and Alcohol programs (aptitude to gain in-depth knowledge of FAA program adherence)
  • Proven leadership skills along with strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Effective interface with all levels of employees within the organization
  • Robust computer proficiency (MS Office, HRIS/Payroll (e.g. ADP, Ultimate, timekeeping, etc.)
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in the handling of confidential material and information
  • Strong organizational and planning skills

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in aircraft service or manufacturing environment
  • SHPR
  • CEBS
