The Infrastructure Engineer III is responsible for effective design, implementation, configuration, reporting and issue resolution within the infrastructure of RF and our clients. The role requires a deep and broad knowledge of hybrid cloud infrastructure components, design, maintenance and issue resolution, as well as the ability to provide solutions to technical business problem. This is a leadership position where the incumbent will advise junior engineers, and desktop support specialists how to handle complex problems. Essential Job Functions Responsible for overall Network Architecture and System designs Analyze existing network and system designs to create solution recommendations for improvements that meet business needs Deploy highly available, scalable and secure cloud infrastructure with a focus on Azure (AWS is a plus) using industry best practices. Define and implement infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques to migrate workloads into Azure. (AWS is a plus) Work closely with product owners, to gather technical requirements, architect solutions, and execute on deliverables Analyze and resolve configuration issues in development, test, and production environments. Build effective monitoring, logging and auditing of production systems to ensure compliancy with mandated policies and processes Provides third-level technical support at the network and system level Serves as hybrid infrastructure subject matter expert to junior engineers Ensures appropriate and up-to-date documentation is maintained on all systems and networks Communicates effectively with IT management team Communicates complex, technical concepts easily to non-technical clients/colleagues Follow RealFoundations standardized processes and procedures Provide hands on installation and support as well as remote, phone and email Provide accurate and relevant reporting to IT Management team and/or clients Manage vendor service contracts Resolve service delivery and client issues as needed Submit detailed records in a timely manner (time sheets, tickets, reports, etc.) Off hour work and overnight travel as required Maintain a high level of professionalism with customers, vendors and staff Perform all responsibilities in alignment with the core values of RealFoundations, Inc. Education and Work Experience 10+ Years’ experience working as an infrastructure engineer. Preference to direct experience in an MSP (Managed Service Provider) or partner environment Extremely strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work on complicated projects with multiple stages Prior experience with Azure, including design, implementation and maintenance of cloud environments Cloud Infrastructure (VM, SQL, VNET, User defined routes, Azure Site Recovery, Traffic Manager, Azure Automation, Storage, ARM Templates, Azure Load balancer, API Gateway and Azure AD) On-premise infrastructure (AD, DNS, VMWare, Hyper-V, Load balancer, firewalls, routing) Experience with PowerShell scripting Experience with Azure and 3rd party monitoring tools Experience with Office 365 administration and best practices Exchange Online, One Drive, SharePoint Online, and Teams Experience with Windows and Linux-based operating system configuration, automation and management Strong knowledge and implementation history of Ansible or other orchestration frameworks Strong automation programming skills Preferred Certifications: Microsoft 365 MS 365 Certified Fundamentals Enterprise Administrator Expert Azure Certification Azure Administrator Associate Azure Solutions Architect Expert Azure Security Engineer Associate We are not accepting unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters unless such recruiters were engaged to provide candidates for a specified opening.
