Description

The Receiving Assistant receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties.
This position will exhibit excellence in cultivating the Edgewood Vision by executing both employee and guest engagement standards.

  • Ability to perform a series of procedural steps; to detect and resolve error conditions; to transcribe data from documents that have not been pre-examined or coded
  • Prior experience with Windows operating system desirable
  • Prior knowledge or experience with food items and warehousing techniques desirable
  • Prior knowledge or experience with inventories practices, procedures, and techniques desirable
  • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is generally preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another
  • Must be good at basic arithmetic relative to inventory value calculations.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the work location
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
