Description

The Outsource Disbursement Manager directs and oversees the Outsource Disbursement Teams. The position provides subject matter expertise in support of LERETA's strategic operational goals including representation during customer visits, customer meetings, and other special projects. The role establishes priorities and monitors productivity and quality-control standards ensuring tax processing is performed in accordance with SLA's established by LERETA's customers. The role promotes best-practice procedures, improves systems and processes, fosters individual development and career growth, and accomplishes team training initiatives to effectively execute LERETA's Business Plan objectives.

Manages the payment of Current and Delinquent taxes for multiple lenders

  • Ensures the timely payment current open items by the MPR or ELD date.
  • Ensures prior open are addressed within SLA as set by customer business rules.
  • Reduces or eliminates all losses and penalties to meet set budgetary goals.

Oversee the maintenance, development and implementation of disbursement technology

  • Manages and maintains integrity of Web Open Items and Web Escrow Tracking.
  • Leads development and enhancements to current systems to meet on-going needs.
  • Submits timely PSR requests and justifications.
  • Develops training surrounding all technology changes to current systems.

Manage to Disbursement Unit Budgetary Goals

  • Sets yearly unit efficiency goals in alignment to company budget goals.
  • Provides monthly recap of budgetary status at EC meetings.
  • Inputs monthly budget reforecast.
  • Sets yearly budgetary forecast.
  • Ensures staffing, resources and projects fall within yearly forecasted budget.

Manage performance of Supervisors and teams

  • Provides and manages weekly, monthly production goals to Supervisors and Teams.
  • Provides and manages weekly, monthly accuracy goals to Supervisors and Teams.
  • Ensures team adherences to all internal and customer SLAs.
  • Communicates weekly performance at operations and EC meetings.
  • Mentors leadership team on on-going basis.

Ensure current understanding of all customer business rules, contracts and procedures

  • Works with compliance to ensure all changes to existing business rules or procedures are understood and communicated to teams.
  • Ensures requirements, SLAs and special instructions are adhered to within department processes.
  • Provide feedback to management on issues or concerns regarding requested changes to current business rules or procedures from customers.

Additional Functions

  • Responsible for data entry, escalating issues, maintaining accurate documentation and following established guidelines to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and achieve department success.
  • Understands all necessary processes and procedures, follows established guidelines and identifying opportunities for process improvement to align individual performance with department objectives.
  • Responds to Account Manager or customers inquiries timely.
 
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in managing large units
  • 3 or more years’ experience in leading tax servicing or mortgage-related production operations
  • Specific knowledge of delinquent real estate taxes and tax sales

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, tax law, real estate law, etc.
  • 5 or more years’ experience in a mortgage or servicing tax department with specific knowledge of delinquent real estate taxes and tax sales
  • Extensive knowledge of mortgage servicing software including, Black Knight MSP, FiServ, FICS, EAS
