REACH Mobile Support Professional 

Description

The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority has a full time opportunity available for Mobile Support Professionals to perform intermediate skilled human support work providing direct care and services to REACH clients (adult and child population), assessing client needs and providing access to needed and appropriate services including treatment, rehabilitation and service linkage, case monitoring and client advocacy functions, and related work as apparent or assigned.

Job Duties

  • Provides direct care and crisis stabilization services to adults and children of the REACH program in their living environment.
  • Assists individuals and their caregivers in the natural environment (ie., home, day support, community) with scheduling daily activities, assisting with activities of daily living, meeting treatment goals and providing de-escalation and intervention services for behavioral concerns.
  • Provides coverage as needed in the REACH Crisis Therapeutic Homes (CTH).
  • Maintains relationships with community partners; recommends community services as needed.
  • Participates in required meetings with team members, supervisor, clinical and CTH staff.
  • Identifies and coordinates necessary training and technical assistance needs for providers, natural supports and other components of the system of care.
  • Collects and enters program data; prepares client documentation and program utilization reports; maintains case records to meet requirements of regulatory agencies.
  • Engages in collaborative documentation and shared planning strategies during service delivery.

 

 
Position Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

General knowledge of community and Authority resources and programs of regional and state sources for the community service population; general knowledge of interviewing and supportive counseling techniques; general knowledge of social casework techniques; general knowledge of human development and behavior; general knowledge of the theories, principles and techniques of individual, family and group therapy; ability to solve problems within scope of responsibility; ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions; ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, orally and in writing; ability to prepare clear and concise reports; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates and the general public.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in psychology, counseling, social work or human service related field required.
  • QMHP-A and C Required.
  • Moderate experience in intellectual disability, developmental disability, or mental health.

Special Requirements

  • Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia

Shifts Available:

Sun-Thurs 1pm-9pm and Tues-Sat 10am-6pm

Starting Salary Range $21.36 per hour plus 6.25% diff.
