Investment Accounting & Reporting Analyst 


This position is responsible for on-boarding and servicing institutional clients that require a monthly reporting or financial package. This includes developing reports to meet the client's needs, mapping the client's chart of accounts, creating and adjusting financial statements, providing trial balance analytics among other things. This position requires a broad knowledge of fund accounting, excellent communication skills, strong collaboration with the team and a high degree of accuracy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze accounting records and clearly articulate and document fund accounting transactions, processes, reconciliations, financial reporting to clients, external audit firms, and internal stakeholders
  • Execute maintenance activities including completion of re-cycle activities, fund set-ups, chart of account maintenance and mapping
  • Run process reviews evaluating the trial balance for high risk items and execute critical checks and review balances on an ongoing basis ensuring issues are escalated and resolved
  • Prepare and/or review of financial statement adjustments from source to entry into the financial system
  • Track and answer auditor/client/internal inquiries and fulfill internal and external requests accurately and timely
  • Track to ensure all monthly deliverables, open items and/or escalation items have been documented and communicated to the appropriate parties, including follow-through until resolution
  • Serve as a contact for inquiries from client's and represent RenPSG on calls and in-person meetings with clients and external auditors
  • Support quarterly and year-end reporting and tax process including account reconciliations and supporting documents for tax filings
  • Ensure all risk and control checks are in place and documented
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation to help improve and streamline workflows
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA preferred
  • 4-6 years accounting experience preferred
  • Ability to explain general accounting principles, cash and asset reconciliation items, fund accounting, income and expense accruals, amortization, dividends and allocations of complex corporate actions
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal
  • Possess excellent organization and planning skills
  • Superior time management skills to be able to multi-task
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach
  • Proficient technical skills with the core Microsoft Office suite of products
