Job Title:      Teacher, Computer Science/Robotics, 10-month Certified Teacher

                       STEM Academy, Springlake Campus

Salary Structure:  $52,484 annually + experience and education add on.  Generous benefits including $779 per month allowance toward medical and other insurance, district paid retirement into the Oklahoma Teacher’s Retirement System and tuition enhancement program.

General Job Description:

Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for a Teacher, Computer Science/Robotics that will be responsible for instruction of secondary students (10th-12th) in Project Lead the Way computer science curriculum, robotics and advanced robotics as outlined by Oklahoma Department of Career and Technical Education and Oklahoma Department of Education.  Additional duties to include co-curriculum in FIRST Robotics which will require occasional evenings and weekends.  Teacher shall be available for initial PLTW and ODCTE trainings and updates. 

 

 
Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • A current Oklahoma teaching certificate in either Computer Science, Secondary Science, Intermediate Math or Advanced Math
  • Bachelor’s degree with preferred degree in STEM related area required
  • Three or more years’ experience teaching secondary students required.  Experience teaching computer science or robotics preferred.

About the Organization Metro Technology Centers is a career and technology education district with five campuses serving the greater Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
