Share Email Opening Title Industrial Engineer  Description Business Travel Mandatory to support North American sites. (- 45-50% Launch Travel     - 15-20% Non-Launch Travel) Technical Center Resident Industrial Engineer supporting North American manufacturing sites. Estimate labor, assembly fixtures cost, material movement cost and material presentation costs. Lead manufacturing system design workshops and document savings or improvements from the workshop. Design, quote and build assembly equipment, material movement and material presentation for production. Install assembly fixtures, material movement carts and material presentation at or below the award of business pricing. Develop lean layouts and material flow for efficient operations. Develop operator instructions for assigned programs. Train production employees for start-up and ramp-up. Support the asssigned PDT to drive lean processes and support North American plants in their cost savings projects Conduct ergonomic assessments of the manufacturing process including material movement.   Position Requirements REQUIRED: Excellent oral and written skill. Proven track record of leadership capabilities to conduct workshops and drive lean manufacturing. Works effectively in a team environment. Excellent problem solving skills. Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project. Strong degree of self-motivation and self-direction. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding situation. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles PREFERRED Work experience in automotive industry or industrial/manufacturing engineering. Experience in manufacturing processes and equipment. Operations experience. Experience with AutoCAD.
