Project Coordinator 

Description

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator supports large-scale project teams during the full life cycle to ensure implementations and project segments are coordinated correctly. You will maintain procedural and administrative aspects of the project including tracking of smaller project activities within the project schedule and serving as an additional liaison between stakeholders and the Chief Information Officer and Project Manager during all phases of the project. The Project Coordinator will communicate any project plan modifications and coordinate changes with participants in response to unforeseen changes or unexpected developments. Other tasks as required by the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Support one or more large-scale IT projects from beginning to end. Projects may include development, deployment, infrastructure with complexity around technology, cross-functional dependencies, and multiple stakeholders across departments.
  • Assist CIO and Project Manager in the development of detailed tasks lists and the coordination of a project or have responsibility over a smaller scale project or project area.
  • Track project data and tasks to ensure project activities are managed, meet all business and system requirements and are completed.
  • Communicate project status, progress on deliverables, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Discuss project issues with the project team, and provides help/support to the project team.
  • Collaborate with different teams including architects, software engineers, developers, technical leads, and users to ensure delivery of project.
  • Follow change management processes during the project life cycle.
  • Ensure compliance with project deliverables and project financial accounting.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle.
  • Experience managing vendor relations and the processing of vendor contracts.
  • Understanding of service delivery from an end user and provider viewpoint.
  • Experience as a Project Coordinator on large-scale projects with a successful project delivery record.
  • Experience managing projects using different software development methodologies.
  • Experience managing projects in a multi-stakeholder and cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with requirements and test case development.
  • Experience interacting with users and managing expectations.
  • Experience working in a multi-contractor environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM concepts.
