About the Organization Red Oak Recovery, a CARF accredited program, is a premier clinically-driven therapy program for young adults and adolescents. We are here to serve clients, families, and other stakeholders through a very difficult time. Our team provides gender-specific treatment for young adults ages 18-30, and adolescent males 14-17 struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues. Our licensed and experienced staff provide the most clinically sophisticated and integrative substance abuse and mental health treatment available.



As a small clinically-driven program we have the ability to meet each client where they are mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally to design a treatment experience that is unique to them.

Description

The Willows at Red Oak Recovery® is located in the beautiful rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just outside of Asheville N.C. We are a clinically dynamic, trauma intensive substance abuse and mental health treatment program designed specifically for the unique needs of young adult women, ages 18-35. Our focus is on clinical care, and we utilize the latest research-supported clinical modalities to ensure positive outcomes. We are always looking for qualified and motivated individuals who are passionate about helping young adults through their recovery process, to join our Red Oak Recovery® team.

Insurance benefits are not eligible for this position. The Willows at Red Oak Recovery does provide chef-prepared meals while at work, access to on-site gym and weight room, participation in adventure activities such as ropes course, rock-climbing, rafting, camping, and hiking, an employee assistance program, and discounts through local retailers.

Role and Responsibilities:

This position must provide a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly and satisfying surroundings for the clients, employees, and public. The housekeeping attendant promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of infection and odors.

  • Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.
  • Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning and replacement of equipment and furnishings.
  • Requires working in damp, dusty and dirty areas. Must clean up human waste and other body fluids, as required.
  • Responsible for disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.
  • Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.
  • Plan work schedule for major tasks.
  • Damp dust furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc.
  • Empty trash containers.
  • Wet mop floors in all residents' rooms and bathrooms. Damp mop all corridor floors, lobby, dining areas, etc.
  • Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers.
  • Clean all air vents.
  • Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc.).
  • Wash windows as scheduled.
  • Follow instructions on use of germicidal solutions to clean. All procedures for solution use will be part of the housekeeper's training.
  • Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
  • Additional related cleaning duties as directed by supervisor.
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • 21 years of age
  • Minimum HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Working knowledge of cleaning procedures, supplies, equipment
  • Experience in commercial cleaning
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
