Basic Job Function: Assists the Director and Assistant Director of Housekeeping in the supervision of all Housekeeping operations to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness are met for guest rooms and public areas.
Essential Functions:
Inspects all guest rooms and public areas on a regular basis to ensure standards are met.
Motivates, trains, supervises, and evaluates Housekeeping and Laundry personnel and assists in performing any disciplinary actions as necessary.
Plans daily and weekly cleaning assignments and projects for room attendants, and public utility area personnel.
Performs administrative duties such as, but not limited to, departmental payroll, scheduling and distribution of maids gratuities and requisitions/orders supplies and guest room amenities.
Minimizes waste, misuse or abuse of supplies and equipment. Monitors and establishes proper par levels. Prepares supply consumption reports.
Reviews daily staffing of room attendants and makes necessary scheduling adjustments.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Security Department.

Provides instruction and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in fire or other emergency situations.
Responds to guest questions. Provide guest assistance, direction and information as requested when working in public areas.
Conduct daily staff briefings and plan/coordinate monthly communication meetings.
Perform duties of the Executive Assistant Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper during his/her absence or when necessary.
Relieve working supervisor during meal breaks.
Perform line employee job functions in emergency situations.
Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.
Education/Training Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma required.
Degree in Hotel Management preferred.
Prior experience in high end luxury.
Experience/Skill Requirements:
One (1) year experience in Housekeeping operations preferred.
Three (e) years supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
CPR and Standard First Aid Certification preferred.
Ability to complete HAZCOM/MSDS Training.
Ability to complete Blood Borne Pathogen Training.
Mental Capacity & Organizational Skill Requirements:
Ability to pay attention to detail, work in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and have a high level of patience.
Ability to use sound judgment.
Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions and procedures.
Ability to prioritize work.
Ability to access, understand and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
Ability to effectively operate various office equipment such as, but not limited to, a 10-key calculator, facsimile and photocopying machine.
Communication Requirements:
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of maturity, patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
