Join VIP: A strategic approach to accelerate your career! VIP is seeking a business development resource to support growth in the commercial market. This is a remote position with some travel associated with it.

The Business Development/Inside Sales resource will work closely with to the Vice President of the region and is responsible for meeting assigned sales objectives and quotas for the VP’s they are teamed with. The Business Development/Inside Sales resource will develop new client relationships, expand and grow existing parnert and customer relationships, and provide support for customer and partner relationships. This includes working with customers to understand and identify their strategic vision, objectives and needs while aligning our services where opportunities exist. Through strong business acumen this role will demonstrate a solid understanding of the industry drivers and trends that are impacting our customers, what drives their business and buying decisions. The business development/Inside Sales resource should be well versed in developing and supporting the relationship between VIP and customers at multiple organizational levels, and possesses the ability to gather information on customer business processes, critical success factors, and competitive standing to deliver value-added business solutions.   • Develop and manage sales funnel to analyze and manage pipeline activity and monitor sales activity against assigned quotas.
  • Ability to objectively qualify an opportunity.
  • Thoroughly understands and significantly influences the customer’s decision-making process and leads the customer to positive decisions.
  • Acquire and integrate industry knowledge within IT related to general trends, emerging technologies, & competitors.
  • Maintain contact with the customer, resolve problems, and seek additional opportunities to meet needs.
  • Perform sales presentations to match VIP solutions with identified needs.
  • Provide timely and accurate business volume forecasts and other reports.
  • Candidates will have experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry and should be versed in trending IT topics
 
Position Requirements
  • 3+ years selling services and solutions
  • Proven hunter background
  • Must be self-sufficient
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple clients simultaneously
  • Possess the ability to sell technology or a vision for a customer
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and abilities.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and capable of developing and managing strategic plans
  • Proven history of analyzing opportunities, employing creative and effective decision making to solve problems/achieve results.
  • Ability to effectively present solutions online and over the phone; closing sales without in person contact.
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication skills and excellent negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results through others.
  • -0 to 50% US travel required.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent

This job operates in an office setting which incurs moderate noise consistent with a business office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical attributes are required, for instance, manual dexterity/typing, read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation, the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as well as, ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
