Job Summary:
This position is responsible for building and servicing a customer base through sales and service to maximize profits on the sales of construction aggregates. Resolves customer issues relating to materials or trucking to insure customer satisfaction and deliver high quality products. Projects sales and analyzes trends to manage product inventory.

• Build strong and lasting business relationships with prospective and existing customers
• Resolves basic customer product and technical problems
• Forecast sales and communicate with operations to ensure availability of inventory in retail yard
• Identifies and understands competitive landscape
• Gather information to understand competitive landscape
• Assist in establishing operating budgets
• Involvement in trade associations, area chambers and state and local meetings

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• 3-5 years’ experience within the construction materials or a related industry
• Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and during face-to-face interactions
• Successful territory management and sales experience in aggregate sales preferred, however sales experience in construction or industrial related industries will be considered
• Strong organizational skills, excellent time management skills and ability to work unsupervised
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Must be able to travel locally on a regular basis
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word and Excel) and other software packages relevant to the position

Conditions of Employment:
Successful candidate must submit to post offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
