The key performance objectives for this position are described below:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Systems, Safety, Reliability Team Leader. The performance and development of the team will be the responsibility of the Sr. Manager, which will require exceptional leadership, dedication and the ability to communicate the shared vision of the organization. • Program Execution. Astronics AES development programs are staffed with a dedicated team of engineers, and each team is required to establish estimates, plans and schedules. The Sr. Manager is responsible for ensuring the estimates are appropriate for the given program, accounts for any risks, and supports the needs of the customer and our business. The ability to establish development plans, and execute to those plans within the constraints of the business is critical to success. Within the first three months, the Sr. Manager will be expected to become intimately familiar with the current development programs, budgets, schedules, and ensure systems, safety and reliability development is on track.

This includes assessing team compliance, efficiency, and identifying opportunities for improvements.
  • Teamwork/Collaborator. This position will interface directly with engineering managers from other disciplines to ensure a consistent approach in all aspects of people management, while addressing any issues that affect the organization and their teams. This includes compensation, staffing, values and behaviors, inter-discipline collaboration, program execution, retention, and addressing specific concerns raised by team members. It is crucial the Sr. Manager establish a solid working relationship, and trust, with managers and other peers in the company within the first four months.
