Share Email Opening Title Tool Room Supervisor  Category Manufacturing   Description Supervise tool room employees in daily activities. Work with the stamping department to schedule die P.M.'s or other necessary repair work. Maintain specialty machinery and consumable tooling. Work with the quality team to insure parts being produced function properly and meet specifications. Troubleshooting issues with stamping, draw, form dies in a timely manner and making necessary repairs. Have a working knowledge of manual tool room machinery: lathe, mill, surface grinder etc. Die making abilities. Ability to read blueprints. Ability to read measuring equipment: Micrometers, Calipers, Etc. ( knowledge of CMM helpful but not necessary.) Building tools, gages, and fixtures   Position Requirements Associates Degree preferred or 2 years of supervisory experience in concrete manufacturing Familiar with modern manufacturing methods and recognize where they may be most effective. Ability to maintain control of a fast pace, multiple project environment Excellent people skills Ability to communicate and influence members of the workforce to produce desired results. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Tig welding hard materials such as die components. Proficiency in machining all types of materials. Some CNC knowledge. AutoCAD skills Engineering skills helpful Ability to coach and train employees and issue safety/performance related corrective actions Ability to schedule assigned labor based on production requirements and handle multiple tasks effectively Understand inventor control practices Knowledge of OSHA standards Intermediate MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong leadership skills WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: PPE includes safety glasses, goggles, anti-vibration gloves, leather gloves, ear plugs, and leather apron (covering increases body temperature/cause for heat related injury) Work environment is indoors and may be hot/humid. Physical requirements include bending, ability to lift 50 lbs., and standing for entire shift.
