We have an opportunity for an Aviation Project Engineer to join our Aviation Services Group. This position will be located out of our Burnsville location. As an Aviation Project Engineer, you will be collaborating with a team of Engineers, Planners, and Technicians and will be responsible for performing and coordinating the design and preparation of construction documents for a variety of municipal and regional airport projects. This role will also include construction administration and observation responsibilities. You will also assist with airport studies, project designs, preparation of plans and specifications, preparation of cost estimates, travel to work sites and other project locations. We are looking to add to our team, a highly motivated individual who is able to apply engineering knowledge to a variety of projects. We are looking for someone enjoys developing and maintaing strong relationships with clients and staff. What You Will Be Doing: - Preparing engineering reports
- Designing and preparing plans
- Specification writing
- Field engineering services
- Construction administration
- Attending Airport Commission meetings and maintaining client relationships
What We Are Looking For: - B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Dakota and desired in Minnesota within 6 months
- A minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in the civil engineering field is required. This experience must include aviation engineering
- Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars
- Experience in plan development and construction contract administration
- Proven ability to lead the design and preparation of construction documents for projects
- Project delivery experience working directly with airport clients
Preferred skills: - Pilot License/Experience
- Two (2) or more years of design and construction experience on airport projects
