Description

The Operations Manager oversees and ensures that checks received by the Dallas Tax Operations (DTO) team are secure and dispositioned accurately and timely. The position is responsible for the control and distribution of all checks that are designated for taxing agencies nationwide.

Check Control:

  • Provides a safe and secure environment for all LERETA, Client and Taxing Agency checks, including receipt and disposition of returned checks, refunds and any other checks received by DTO
  • Ensures the timely and accurate delivery of tax payments to the correct taxing agencies within the allowable timeframe
  • Collaborates and works closely with DTO Payments, Refunds, Client Care and Redemptions teams to effectuate the on-time payment of client's tax bills and the correct disposition of checks returned to LERETA
  • Develops and implements productivity and quality tracking tools and associated metrics

Refund and Returns:

  • Ensures timely and accurate research associated with the dispositioning of partial payment refunds and returned LERETA payments received from taxing agencies
  • Manages refund and returns inventory ensuring conformity to Client Driven SLAs
  • Oversees reporting of productivity and quality results

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Hires, trains, and develops associates providing career pathing, mentoring and coaching
  • Creates a transparent and accountable team driven to exceed client expectations
  • Conducts performance reviews timely and thoroughly; manages performance concerns swiftly and with the intention of improving performance
  • Develops executive level management reporting
  • Ensures that all associates complete required training
  • Develops career pathing plans for all associates on the team
  • Develops clear succession plans
 
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in business management and planning
  • 3+ years of experience in coaching/mentoring, data analysis, problem solving, performance measurement and sustainability
  • 3+ years of experience in tax data research and in managing complex tax situations
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in promoting customer service and teamwork-oriented environment
