Job Summary:

Maintain, repair, lubricate equipment

  • Diagnose and repair all types of gas and diesel equipment, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Install, remove, maintain, inspect and fabricate parts and equipment
  • Grease, service and check fluid levels (fuel, grease and oil) and perform preventative maintenance (lubrication, oil changes, oil/air filters and oil samples)
  • Operate pressure greasing equipment
  • Maintain service, maintenance and repair records
  • Keep work areas clean
  • Work safely/correct and report unsafe conditions in work area
  • Perform welding and fabrication, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned



Position Requirements


High school diploma or equivalent


  • 3-5 years journey level heavy mining equipment repair experience
  • Read, write, complete mathematical calculations
  • Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment
  • Ability to work from high places
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license and good driving record
  • Ability to work safely and properly follow all company policies
  • Computer skills for data entry or work orders
  • Ability to have reliable attendance
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Can be exposed to extreme hot and cold weather
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Requires sitting, standing, walking, forward bending, twisting, climbing, squatting, kneeling, balancing driving, pulling/pushing, reaching
  • Ability to work various shifts
  • Ability to work nights
  • Ability to work overtime, if required
  • Own tools – up to 1 inch sockets and wrenches


  • Diesel, gasoline and other mobile equipment experience preferred
  • MSHA certified
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance methods
  • Experience in welding and fabrication
  • Knowledge of industrial and shop safety rules
  • Servicing knowledge of various types of heavy equipment

Conditions of Employment:

Successful candidate must submit to post offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
