Credit Manager-Senior Accountant

POSITION TITLE: Credit Manager/Senior Accountant

TEAM: Accounting


Under the direction of, and reporting to the Controller, the Credit Manager/Senior Accountant is responsible for the general ledger, payroll, credit functions and accounts receivable for the company.

Position Requirements



  1. Maintain accurate general ledger, verify and reconcile account balances and make adjusting entries & update subsidiary records.

  2. Prepare financial statements, cash flow statements & account breakdowns.

  3. Assist in the preparation of audit information and budget.

  4. Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and review of risk areas.

  5. Design and oversee the systematic collection and follow-up of accounts receivable with customers, internal and external sales personnel with the intention of maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the accounts receivable subsidiary records.

  6. Establish credit worthiness of new and existing domestic and international customers to limit the credit risk incurred by the company. Involves setting credit limits as well as approval, extension and termination of credit to customers.

  7. Determine whether orders and/or shipments are to be released or held based on the customer’s account status.

  8. Process selective legal action on collection accounts, control bad debt losses, file bankruptcy claims, recommend accounts for write off, and stay current on changing bankruptcy laws and regulations.

  9. Post customer payments, credit memos, adjustments to invoices, and monitor and calculate customer rebate programs.

  10. Prepare miscellaneous census and surveys.

  11. Promote self-education in the Accounting field.

  12. Assist the Chief Financial Officer and Controller with special projects.

  13. Complete payroll in a timely and accurate manner and maintain payroll related files.

  14. Assist in the design and preparation of budgets/forecasts as required.

  15. Provide sales team with monthly reports.

  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with all teams, customers and auditors.

Ability to work independently with a high level of tact and strong communication skills required.


Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field required.

4-5 years Accounting, Credit and Payroll experience required.

Strong Microsoft Office Excel, Work, Office and Access skills.

Proficient in Dynamics 365 ERP systems and/or Ascentis Payroll is a plus.

Must have experience with a fully integrated accounting system.
