This position is based in Washington, D.C. However, the nature of The Clearing's work and project-based environment requires travel to client locations in and around the D.C. metro area, including the greater Baltimore area. Occasional travel outside the D.C. metro area or out of state may be required at times.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Analysts at The Clearing are integral members of our consulting team and fulfill a very important role within our firm. Because our Analysts often work across multiple projects, they have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from talented team members throughout the company. As an Analyst, you will learn, grow, and be challenged on the job as you work to leave a lasting impact on your clients.

 

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

  • Research and analysis in support of client projects and meetings
  • Draft communications (e.g., client emails, client talking points, and project roadmaps/plans)
  • Presentation of research findings (e.g., Excel charts, PowerPoint presentations)
  • Produce quality deliverables that result in a high degree of project leader and client satisfaction
  • Knowledge capture for external and internal meetings
  • Proposal development support
  • Support of internal TC activities
  • Logistical support (e.g., travel, scheduling, on site meeting support)
 
Position Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years of professional work experience, post degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance

 

WHAT YOU’RE GOOD AT

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and multitasking skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Powerful verbal and written communication skills with the ability to easily communicate ideas and findings in clear, simple language.
  • Strong research and analysis skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Proficiency in computer skills and ability to use MS Office for document formatting, spreadsheet creation, chart/graph creation, and presentation creation.

  • Familiarity and an interest in business development/sales a plus

  • Current government suitability clearance highly preferred

 

HOW YOU’LL DO IT

  • Project Management/Delivery: Deepening active listening expertise to capture essential points and understand nuances so that you contribute to client value creation and moving our clients to ‘act and engage’ to achieve outcomes.
  • Client Relationships: Embedding well into an existing team environment in order to learn how to communicate and navigate effectively with different personality styles and how to translate this to individual clients.
  • Leadership/Communication: Leading the development of impactful client deliverables in order to contribute to client ability to achieve their outcomes and to navigate a process for product development and delegation, as needed.
  • Business Development: Participating in key TC business development opportunities, such as chalk talks, alignment sessions, and/or proposal development so that there is a deep understanding of the unique value proposition that TC offers.
