General Job Description: Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for a Database Specialist that will be responsible for supporting the use of instructional and administrative database systems within the District by performing, coordinating, and instructing others in database configuration, data security, maintenance, backup, data analysis, and reporting.   Position Requirements Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems plus three (3) years relevant work experience Certifications: MCSA: SQL Server, Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional (11g or 12c) Excel, Oracle (in cloud and virtual environment), Microsoft SQL, VMWare and Hyper-V experience Ability to problem solve, instruct, lead teams, and excellent communication skills Job may require additional hours beyond regularly scheduled workday (Above requirements may be met by an equivalent combination of education and experience.)
