Share Email Opening Title Liftstation Technician  Description This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all lift stations. Know location and number of each pumping station Know how to use the Gas Free Meter while working in a confined space Know how to troubleshoot pumps and equipment Know electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, fabrication Know how to rebuild or replace pumps, valves, motors, etc Set up bypass pumps, upkeep of all tools and equipment Keep Lift Stations and wet-wells clean Responsible for keeping a daily log Work trouble truck as required Work extra hours as deemed necessary Performs other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements Must have a high school diploma or GED Must have a valid driver’s license Must have a strong electrical back ground for trouble shooting Must have a strong mechanical back ground with pneumatics Must have welding, cutting, brazing and fabrication skills.   Physical/Environmental Requirements Entering confined spaces and dealing with wastewater, gases and odor. Working in wet surroundings with high temperatures and loud noise. Working outside in all conditions. Frequently works around hazardous machinery, cluttered floor space and poor ventilation.
