Step 2: $17.70; Step 3: $18.27; Step 4: $20.09; Step 5: $20.69; Step 6: $21.11; Step 7: $21.96; Step 8: $23.06. Date Approved: August 2019 Summary Performs journeyman-level skilled maintenance tasks as part of the Maintenance department, in support of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Maintains, repairs and installs physical plant systems including, but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, exhibits and paths on grounds by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor. Performs plumbing, electrical, carpentry fabrication, welding fabrication. Installs system material and components in accordance with blue prints, manuals, building codes and ASDM operating standards. Performs general painting on buildings inside and out. Maintenance, repair and installation of plumbing systems though out the Museum. Maintenance, repair and installation of telephone and data cabling systems. Maintenance, repair and installation of ASDM Filter Building pumps and water systems. Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on all ASDM refrigerators, freezers, and other equipment. Assists other departments as required. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
