Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifiations:

  • Knowledge of specialized principles or techniques equivalent to those that would normally be obtained through a formal four-year college/university academic program or an in-depth specialized training program directly related to the type of work to be performed
  • 1 – 3 years of work experience in Human Resources, Recruitement, Talent Aquisition or other similar roles
  • Experience with digital platforms, human capital, and applicable database programs
  • Treats individuals with respect and fairness; able to relate well to diverse populations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
  • Experience with digital platforms, human capital, and applicable database programs required
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Ability to create reports, presentations, and business correspondence

  • Tech Savvy: Anticipates and adopts innovations in business-building digital and technology applications
  • Talented at tactfully using social media, email, and other technology solutions; data and customer service driven
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups in a timely and professional manner
  • Capable of identifying and balancing corporate needs, employee goodwill, and public image; ability to maintain professional demeanor and confidentiality
  • Strong customer orientation; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including both written and verbal communication. Requires ability to communicate with diverse groups, both technical and non-technical users
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail; accuracy in written documents, correspondenes and reports
  • Keen eye for grammar and spelling
 
Description

Enjoy a career as a Human Resources Professional working in a fast paced, positve work enviroment. The Human Resources Specialist will partner with leaders at various levels and from all functions within the organization to meet recruiting, retention and employee engagement goals. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and will focus on developing key initiates and implement strategies which align with FeraDyne’s goals and culture. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for:

Recruiting

  • Works collaboratively to automate, innovate, and streamline the recruitment process
  • Actively post, recruit, and market Feradyne positions
  • Implementate initiatives to attract and retain a diverse work force and achieve budgeted headcounts
  • Develop, communicate and facilitate processes to identify, screen and onboard new hires in an efficent and employee focused manner
  • Follow all applicable state and federal laws in regards to HR best practices in record keeping and documentation procedures
  • Ensures that HR files, both physical and digital, are created and maintained in accordance with legal requirements as well as Company policies and procedures
  • Complete preliminary background study, pre-employement drug screening requirements, offer letters, and I9 documentation
  • Draft decline letters, extend interview invitations and manage correspondences with job seekers
  • Follow up with employees intermittently to ensure appropriate placement, position and promote retention

Marketing and Branding

  • Manage company marketing resources and social media accounts in regards to employement oppritunities and career planning
  • Attend workforce development meetings, tradeshow events and job fairs to promote FeraDyne's careers and open positions
  • Engage within the Twin Ports community to actively pursue canidates and develop community relationships
  • Communicate directly with job seekers, workforce developement specialist and other key external stakeholders as a representative of FeraDyne's Human Resources Department
  • Assists in the development of standard HR reports for internal stakeholders and monthly HR metric reporting

Employee Development and Performance Management

  • Assist in the assessment of current annual performance review process for effectiveness
  • Support the development and implementation of a regular talent review process to align high potential employees with assignments which offer development opportunities and create strategic succession plans
  • Post internal promotionary position oppritunities and work with Division Managers to identfy qualified canidates
  • Assists with conducting exit interviews and focus groups to provide visibility regarding turnover
