Material Handler - 2nd Shift 

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must be able to work 2nd shift hours: 3:15pm - 11:45pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
  • Responsible for monitoring stockroom inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory.
  • Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
  • Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges.
  • Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
  • Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines.
  • Must be available to work overtime/weekends upon request.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalency required; 2 years equivalent industry experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, able to handle stressful situations and multi-tasking, and able to work under time constraints. Ability to lift and manipulate 25 pound objects. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
