Description

The Project Manager, Programs and Services provides strategic program coordination, data analysis and project leadership. Technology focused on enhancing organizational-wide scheduling and web base platforms. Also develop project plans that meet client needs with company goals, and coordinate team managers and technical personnel throughout all stages of the project.

This is a temporary full time position, expected to be three months in length.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executes organizational initiatives by understanding current states; assessing, recommend information technology strategies, and identifying improvements through analysis
  • Build and execute on project/process plan using improvement methodologies and tools; manage project schedules and scope to ensure all process/project documentation is complete
  • Technology knowledge and first- hand knowledge of web-based products. Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
  • Create successful project implementation plans which will include the development of a project charter, scope, schedule and budget; regular reporting on project scope, cost and schedules throughout the project's lifecycle; ensure project deliverables are met on time, within budget, scope and according to contractual obligations and the hospital's polices
  • Provides leadership and guidance to a project team during all stages of the project lifecycle, concept through close-out
  • Consulting with a wide range of stakeholders including clinical staff, senior leadership, clients and families, through moderate and complex methodology
  • Ensure appropriate decisions and approvals are obtained from required partners, stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Assist in the creation of procurement documents including Request for Qualifications (RFQ)and Request for Proposal (RFP)

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma; University preferred or equivalent in Project Management
  • A minimum of five years project coordination and 2 years project management experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation would be an asset
  • 4+ years of experience applying LEAN, Six Sigma or other quality/process improvement methodologies including leading project and change management initiatives obtained in a healthcare setting
  • 4+ years relevant clinical or operations experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong project management skills; planning, execution and ongoing review and improvement
  • Centralized Scheduling background and booking in healthcare
  • Knowledge of province wide wait times
  • Strong technical and systems knowledge
  • Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client and family centred care orientation and commitment to providing quality products and services
  • Takes initiative, is resourceful and creative and has strong interpersonal skills
  • Possesses time management and prioritizing skills
  • Strong people/project leadership skills, with ability to give feedback
  • Intermediate level computer systems and software that are relevant to the job, i.e. word-processing, spreadsheet, database, MS Project, PowerPoint, etc.
