Share Email Opening Title Weather Technical Evaluation and OTE Program Support  Category Weather   Description The Weather Technical Evaluation and OT&E Program Support will implement ACC/A3W MAJCOM weather functional responsibilities for MAJCOM technical health and metrics responsibilities, IAW AFI 15-114. Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To: Develop, implement, and manage tactical and operational-level unit programs to monitor and evaluate the performance and accuracy of weather products and services. Collect and analyze Weather Watch, Warning and Advisory (WWA) Verification (WARNVER), Terminal Aerodrome Forecast Verification (TAFVER), Operational Verification (OPVER), Graphical Weather Prediction Verification (GRAPHVER) and Model Prediction Verification (MODVER) metrics for ACC weather organizations. Use metrics to monitor, analyze and evaluate the performance and effectiveness of ACC tactical-, operational-, and strategic-level weather operations. Prepare command-specific guidance to subordinate ACC weather units regarding metrics. Perform operations research regarding the effectiveness of weather support at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels. Based on metrics data collected, prepare ACC/ using command requirements to the HQ ACC Weather Requirements Division (ACC/A5W) for program modifications to implement automated methods to assist in the collection and analysis of technical health data IAW AFI 15-114. Prepare recommendations for ACC/A3W that identify trends, deficiencies associated with organizing, training or equipping weather forces, in addition to best practices and improvement opportunities for specific ACC weather units. Prepare consolidated ACC monthly metrics reports to HAF/A3W and advice on ACC issues that may significantly affect the HAF/A3W's responsibilities to assess the technical health of the weather career field. Consolidated ACC monthly metrics reports will be made available online and contain the following data: WARNVER measures of performance (MOP), TAFVER, OPVER, and GRAPHVER metrics. Prepare guidance and provide technical assistance to ACC units for reporting, analysis, and exploitation of metrics data. Assist with coordination and development of ACC supplements to 15-series publications/guidance. Assist ACC/A3W staff members with other OT&E duties, as directed. Assist with proposal development, if necessary.
