Part-Time Hours

This staff member will provide in-home mental/behavioral health counseling services to youth and their identified family members.

Responsibilities includes but are not limited to:

  • Provide mental/behavioral health treatment to youth in their homes/communities for up to two hours per week per youth being served. Treatment may also focus on the relationships the youth has with family members and they may be included in the treatment process.
  • Complete a clinical assessment of each youth admitted into the Behavioral Services program.
  • Complete a treatment plan that indicates the goals and objectives identified for the youth being served.
  • Complete a Clinical Progress Note for each individual session that is completed.
  • Complete a Discharge Summary upon completion of the service.
Position Requirements
  • Licensed in the State of New Jersey.
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Professional Counseling or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-year experience working with youth with behavioral/mental health challenges.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and use common sense
  • Understanding and commitment to community based support for youth and families managing behavioral/mental health challenges.
  • Flexibility to work with people at a variety of levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
  • Must be willing to travel to the homes of the youth and families being served.
