Community First Health Centers is currently seeking an IT Specialist to join our team! The ideal candidate for this role will be resourceful, a great communicator and a team player.

Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you'll be an integral part of our administrative team responsible for providing a broad range of high quality technical support including internal hardware, software, communication networks, systems, supporting all users as well as vendor relations. This position will be located out of our New Haven, MI medical facility located at 58144 Gratiot Avenue. Candidate must have the ability to travel to our Port Huron and Algonac locations as often as necessary.

Daily responsibilities of our IT Specialist may include:

  • Promote and maintain awareness of agency programs, services and activities
  • Responsible for installing, upgrading, configuring and maintaining all Agency information technology equipment, software, hardware and network services
  • Manage telecommunications and configurations including phone system, fax machines and copy/scan
  • Create and maintain IT documentation of infrastructure, components and operations
  • Develop and communicate standards of use, operations and network security of all personal computers, devices and data
  • Perform and coordinate network trouble shooting to isolate, diagnose and resolve network problems
  • Maintain network users, access rights and directories
  • Support of users including training of system/various software programs as needed
  • Research and evaluate network capability and recommend improvements to support both current and future operations considering new and emerging technologies
  • Assist with vendor contracts related to information technology
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

This is a full time; 40 hours per week opportunity.

Hours will be gained predominately Monday thru Fridayl 830am to 5pm but flexibility is required based on business demands.

While this position will be located out of our New Haven medical facility, travel to our Algonac and Port Huron locations is required based on Agency needs.

Position Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Information Technology or similar from an accredited college or technical school
  • Two (2) years of applicable IT experience
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software and the ability to trouble shoot problems
  • Experience in BridgeIT or similar database system with understanding of healthcare reporting environment preferred
  • High level of analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Capability to interface and maintain relationships will all programs/personnel
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • No fear in regards to change, ability to multi-task and always remain positive
  • Willingness to travel to all clinics as needed
  • Must maintain Basic Life Support certification
