The IT Manager is a critical strategic partner responsible for leading, planning, implementing and supporting the Information Technology initiatives at Dytran.


  • Directs daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.
  • Meets with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
  • Reviews project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
  • Provides users with technical support for computer problems.
  • Develops computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery.
  • Stays abreast of advances in technology.
  • Consults with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
  • Develops and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluates the organization's technology use and needs and recommend improvements, such as hardware and software upgrades.
  • Responsible for the implementation of technical systems, software, and hardware.
  • Performs or coordinate the performance of internal processes relating to product configuration for applicable projects.
  • Develops guidelines for system implementation with special consideration on the scale and integration with existing programs/processes.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains computer networks and systems.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with peers, cross-functional team members, internal customers, and external vendors
  • Controls operational budget and expenditures.
  • Purchases necessary equipment.
  • Manage backup, security and user help systems.
  • Partners with senior manufacturing leadership in the creation of technology and business process to advance business strategies.
  • Facilitates ongoing planning for IT investments and aligns business strategies with IT investment and priorities.
  • Accountable for overall project oversight and internal customer satisfaction.
  • Supports a culture across teams that drives successful delivery and adoption of technology and business process solutions.
  • Provides IT Solution design for new capabilities or process improvement initiatives.
Position Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT with at least 3 years’ experience in IT Management role
  • Hardware/Software Capabilities; ability to review and determine hardware/software requirements (including budget, and project implementation)
  • Ability to repair/replace PC’s, LAPTOP’s, Servers, Network Switches, etc.
  • Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrators Certification preferred
  • 3D PICK software background or familiarity with Assembly Language code
  • Familiarity with Cloud based software systems
  • Flexible working hours required for software/system upgrades
  • Proven track record of managing budgets and 3rd party suppliers
  • Solid communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Comfortable being the sole FTE IT employee
  • Extensive business experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Highly motivated and driven individual
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Must be a team player with a strong customer orientation
  • Ability to think strategically and plan over a multi-year time span
  • Ability to successfully manage many issues/projects simultaneously
  • Experience managing costs and budget preparation including software and hardware maintenance, supplies inventory, vendor relationship and licensing
  • Self-motivated and disciplined with a strong desire to succeed, learn, and drive positive change
  • Must be a local candidate
