Cadaret Grant is looking for a Network/Systems Administrator to join our successful organization. We take pride in our team of professionals, who help to expand the company’s reputation as one of the leading independent broker/dealers in the country.

This position will support existing and new IT infrastructure, including involvement in initial projects related to an entirely new server room build out and all supporting infrastructure. The Network/Systems Administrator also provides technical and administrative support for the technology used at the firm. This requires maintaining adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software in use to maximize efficiency of the network and users’ utilization of them.

Experience with the following systems or technology are required: Virtual infrastructure, including VMware vSphere, ESX server, Site Recovery Manager, underlying storage systems such as Dell EqualLogic, Compellent, Netapp or other similar systems.

Position duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support for the following areas: Network systems, Active Directory system, optical scanning system / archiving, firewall and antivirus system, e-mail systems, IT electronic help request system, PC support, server management, Phone systems, telecommunication support, and backup systems.
  • Provide computer and network support relating to software and hardware problems to users
  • Install new software applications or hardware on the local area network; coordinating assistance from management or outside third parties as needed.
  • Add and maintain users on the network. Assign application access, ensure security, and maintain system configuration within standards.
  • Coordinate or execute approved programming and equipment changes. This may include moves, adds, and user changes to phone or server systems.
  • Provide written documentation on a monthly basis which defines upcoming needs of the department which would require purchase of additional hardware or software.
  • Develop and maintain all documentation for the network and supporting systems including procedures, equipment lists, maintenance logs, user set-up, problem resolution, disaster recovery procedures, and system backup logs.
  • Monitor and report licenses on applications to ensure compliance.
  • Complete various projects as assigned by manager.
  • Maintain and support cybersecurity best practices
  • Complete regular procedures as defined by manager
  • Complete various projects and other duties as assigned by manager.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelors’ degree in information technology or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of work experience in network administration.
  • Experience with the following systems or technology required: Virtual infrastructure, including VMware vSphere, ESX server, Site Recovery Manager. Must have a good understanding of underlying storage systems such as Dell EqualLogic, Compellent, Netapp or other similar systems.
  • Desirable technical skillsets: LAN/WAN networking, routing, firewall systems, Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, AWS, Backup systems, Ubuntu systems management, and general Microsoft operating systems knowledge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Candidate will be expected to document systems and perform required change management procedures as needed.
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
