STR's Systems Development Division seeks a Strategic Marketing Administrator at their Woburn office to support the leadership team within the Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for administrative and analyst duties to the Vice President and his key staff. The candidate will interact with other STR Directors, Management Staff and Senior Customers and establish and maintain strong working relationship with their respective office staff.

Job Description:

  • Anticipate, analyze, and proactively react to changes in priorities and tasks. Demonstrate proactive initiative, creativity and follow-through on a broad range of administrative and analysis actions.
  • Maintain/manage the leadership teams daily schedules, which requires the ability to prioritize their requirements and demands. Plan and organize meetings, conferences, and luncheons, to include coordinating services (facility reservation, audio/visual, catering, security, etc.). Coordinate with support staff at other STR sites when these events are hosted there.
  • Conduct analysis in support of future business pursuits to include detailed research on potential business partners and competitors, critical analysis of capabilities, strengths, opportunities and risks and present the results in briefings to senior leadership at STR.
  • Gather and synthesize competitive intelligence (CI) to include tracking annual reports and listening to investor calls, monitoring media outlets, and maintaining/disseminating a CI database
  • Assemble background materials for strategy and pursuit planning meetings and briefings, assist in developing, compiling, and electronically organizing such information. Maintain division knowledge management resources to store and organize information resources.
  • Track action items and suspense dates and respond to actions and data queries in a timely manner and within identified deadlines.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks: preparation of correspondence (documents, reports, monthly project status reports and briefings) according to STR standards, organize and track outgoing correspondence and maintain department letters, memos, files and make travel arrangements and process travel claims.
  • Initiate and update the submission of security clearances, visit requests/certs, and related files in support of STR senior staff activities.
  • Answer and screen telephone calls, respond to routine questions, route calls to appropriate staff and/or relay messages. Maintain and order specialized supplies and services for the Division and take meeting notes and document action items from internal meetings.
  • Exercise discretion regarding sensitive information at all levels both internally/externally.
 
Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent, with 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Possess agility to adapt to changing priorities, independently assess and prioritize tasks and work independently at senior levels of the organization. A successful candidate is proactive and have exceptional judgement working alone and in an integrated team environment.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and attention to details. The ability to compose routine written communications and proof-read documents produced by senior staff.
  • Possess professionalism acumen in interacting with Government sponsors, corporate executives, STR staff and contractors and demonstrate competence, poise, and accountability.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Knowledge in databases, graphics. Must have the ability to quickly learn internal software tools.

Desired:

  • Relevant experience with competitive intelligence tools (e.g. GovWin IQ/Onvia, Govini, etc) highly desired
  • Experience with: Government relations, DoD budget analysis to include Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) and Program Element (PE) level budgeting trends; Pentagon and Congressional budget formation data; tracking of major program awards to primes and identification of key sub-contractors; and projected future program funding predictions and projections
  • Possess an active DoD top-secret clearance
