Principle Acquisition Analyst, Program Leads Acquisition

The Columbia Group (TCG) is a design engineering and technical services company that has a successful 50+-year history of providing the United States Military with engineering, design, acquisition, logistics management, fabrication, test and evaluation, information technology and financial management support services. We have multiple contract with the Military Sealift Command to provide engineering design and ship modification support. We seek an enterprising candidate to fill a high-visibility role supporting the Ships AM Program Office; Principle Acquisition Analyst, Program Lead.

The Project Lead/Analyst will have principle responsibility for managing a team assigned to a particular task area. You will overall responsibility for the performance of the tasks. You will develop and implement processes for monitoring performance and ensuring high quality work is completed on time.

Tasks include:

  • Work with the customers to plan tasks and resolve issues.
  • Manage up to fifteen (15) individuals, ensuring good communication and resolving performance shortfalls.
  • Ensure all timely completion of tasking while minimizing errors and rework.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • At least four (4) years of experience working in a Defense Department acquisition program. In some cases, we may consider work in a commercial environment appropriate experience. Individuals with significantly more than four (4) years of experience in U.S. Navy shipbuilding will be considered.
  • One year or more of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Financial management of a Defense Acquisition program
    • Shipbuilding (certain manufacturing experience may also qualify)
    • Government contract management
    • Supply chain logistics
    • Cybersecurity
    • Configuration management of hardware systems
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • MUST HAVE A CURRENT or ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE required.
