Under the supervision of the Director of Media Management, the Manager of Media Management is responsible for the day-to-day direction and operation of the Media Management department. This position oversees all operations of the department including but not limited to: personnel, production and all other tasks related to the department's workflows and processes. This position enforces compliance with all organization policies and procedures, state and federal laws, certifications, and contractual requirements. The role ensures the department successfully delivers quality service to customers, employees, and individuals served.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manages and oversees the supervision of all Media Management department personnel and individuals served.
  2. Directs staff and individuals served to maximize productivity, efficiency, and compliance.
  3. Collaborates with Human Resources regarding personnel related matters and actions, policy interpretation and enforcement, and investigations.
  4. Ensures department compliance with all federal and state regulations, as well as Opportunity Village policies and procedures.
  5. Responsible for accurate and timely reporting; completes appropriate documentation and reports for Human Resources related to safety incidents and concerns, potential Workers Compensation claims, requests for accommodation, etc.
  6. Responsible for comprehension and knowledge of the Opportunity Village Employee Handbook to provide guidance and counselling to subordinates.
  7. Responsible for the drafting and reviewing of PCT documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and policy.
  8. Leads and oversees conversations for high level disciplinary actions, staff mediations, and terminations.
  9. Responsible for collaborating with Human Resources regarding recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding for all Media Management staff and individuals served. This includes ensuring compliance and completion of additional state and federal background screenings and authorizations required of the contracts operating in the Media Management department.
  10. Ensures all staff training programs, performance reviews, compliance paperwork, personnel documentation, and time studies are completed in a timely manner and up to date.
  11. Stewards the development and implementation of new and revised department policies and procedures as needed.
  12. Ensures training is completed for direct care and other staff to ensure support plans and/or vocational goals set for individuals served are met and enforced.
  13. Encourages and assists with successful placement of individuals served in employment opportunities that are in alignment with their goals and vocational skills.
  14. Ensures that time study standards are established for all applicable work performed and are reviewed annually; ensures changes to scope, material, method, or environment that can impact standards are escalated; ensures that standards are reviewed and revised as needed.
  15. Ensures that an accurate method of work measurement is in place for all contract work. Oversees the supervision of contract production and adherence to established metrics.
  16. Ensures that piece rate and hourly work is logged correctly and on time to guarantee accurate and timely pay for work completed.
  17. Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure all processes are in compliance with applicable Department of Labor regulations.
  18. Support Case Management when needed with documentation, Specials, Annual PCPs, and other meetings related to the individuals served.
  19. Responsible for overseeing the implementation of new contracts and projects.
  20. Responsible for developing and maintaining good working relationships with contract representative(s) to ensure customer satisfaction and contract retention. Develops and maintains effective verbal and written communications with all customers and stake holders.
  21. Ensures the Media Management department operates in an efficient and cost effective manner.
  22. Monitors budgetary P&L statements; ensures costs are in alignment with budgetary parameters.
  23. Participates in the development of the Media Management department's annual operating budget.
  24. Stewards and oversees annual compliance audits and ensures required trainings and documentation are up to date.
  25. Responsible for all department supply ordering and purchase requisitions.
  26. Enter, review, and approve bi-weekly department payroll; including PTO, LOA, and other specialty entries.
  27. Responsible for monthly contractual invoicing and review.
  28. Responsible for monthly CTC billing review.
  29. Responsible for monthly financial reviews and reporting.
  30. Leads and participates in weekly production meetings; provides input for team huddles.
  31. Conducts consistent 1:1s with direct reports; provides input for and participates in staff performance reviews.
  32. Participates in departmental and organizational meetings and trainings as required at multiple campus locations. Requires local travel (50 miles or less one way) on a weekly basis as needed.
  33. Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises the Media Management department assistant and supervisors. Oversees the supervision of all Media Management direct labor, direct care, support staff, client-employees, and individuals served.

 
Position Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, co-workers and supervisors (verbal and written).

  • Ability to manage and effectively redirect behaviors.

  • Ability to deliver presentations and comfort with public speaking.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Required: Required: Prior experience with leading and supervising teams. Including knowledge and understanding of state and federal labor regulations.
  • Required: Technology savvy, proficiency with Excel.
  • Required: Proficiency and understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Required: Must have reliable transportation and valid Nevada driver’s license.
  • Preferred: Two (2) years in a document or records management environment and two (2) years in a production environment.
  • Preferred: Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
