Administrative Assistant - Marketing 

Description

Position Objective:

To assist the marketing team with the development and implementation of PETA's online-marketing and promotional efforts

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the department
• Assist with meetings, basic inquiries, departmental reports, and other administrative tasks
• Assist with creating and posting content to PETA.org and other PETA websites
• Assist with drafting and implementing marketing plans for PETA's Web content
• Assist with tracking and analyzing Web traffic and the success of online campaigns
• Research new online-marketing opportunities and technologies
• Maintain various departmental spreadsheets and databases
• Serve as the department's liaison to the PETA Foundation's Finance Department, including submitting credit card reports
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

 
Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year of experience in an office environment
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office software
• Excellent working knowledge of the Internet
• Knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
• Thorough understanding and appreciation of the creative process
• Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proven excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated effective research and analytical skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
