Flight Test Engineer 

Description
  • Engineering support to Mission Systems test and evaluation activities including support for flight and lab test planning, coordination, execution, analysis, and reporting activities.
  • Assess system development and integration for impact on test planning and test objectives.
  • Prepare flight cards.
  • Attend flight briefs/debriefs.
  • Support data reduction/analysis.
  • Identify and document deficiencies.
  • Support flight test plan and test report preparation.
  • Positions available supporting E-2D, KC-130, MH-60R, MQ-25 (Ariel Refueling Carrier based UAV), VH-92 (Presidential Helo), and others.
  • Positions available focused on supporting radar, acoustics, communication, and navigation systems/capabilities.
 
Position Requirements
  • Degree: BSEE preferred. Specific relevant experience may be considered in lieu of meeting the degree requirement.
  • Years of Experience: Entry level, journeyman, and senior positions all available.
  • Candidates must have a working knowledge of both the theory and methods of aircraft testing. They must have broad scientific technical knowledge of the theory and methods of weapon system acquisition and support requirements including complex problem solving and reduction and analysis of test data.
  • Candidates must have a solid understanding of principles and practices of systems engineering including general knowledge of electronics, human/machine interface, and mechanical engineering. Strong writing and oral presentation skills are highly desired. In depth knowledge of T&E engineering principles and processes to modify or extend current theories or test practices and/or procedures is also desired.
