What You Would Be Doing

Primary job responsibility is to implement behavioral health and educational services using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis with individuals diagnosed with autism, related mental health disorders and intellectual disabilities in either a 1:1, 1:2 or small and large group sessions. Receive supervision and training from behavior analytic and mental health supervisors through direct observation and team meetings. This is a Full-Time, Year Round, Hourly position.

  • Deliver instruction and assessments following procedures learned from initial and on -going training sessions and based on feedback given from supervisors.
  • Implement skills acquisition and behavior reduction plans as provided during initial training and from ongoing training and feedback from supervisors.
  • Implement behavioral health treatment by providing intensive services based off the individuals mental health needs including, but not limited to: skills development, problem solving, conflict resolution, emotions/behavior management, developing positive coping mechanisms, and managing mental health and behavioral symptoms to enhance vocations/school opportunities and/or independent living.
  • Implement crisis interventions as needed and when approved.
  • Collect and analyze data and records of service accurately following Boundless procedures.
  • Organize, prepare teaching and treatment materials and maintain clean instructional area.
  • Maintain designated consumer's data collection methods, documents, records and materials related to his treatment and educational plans. Assist in monitoring goal progression. Identifies and document when interventions are needed for specific goals due to lack of progression.
  • Complete treatment and education review for designated consumer as assigned.
  • Attended and participate in all treatment and educational team meetings, program meetings and Staff Development Days.
  • Seeks, receive and apply feedback appropriately, professionally and work towards goals developed by supervisors.
  • Communicates by both hearing and speaking spoken language in a professional manner with coworkers, outside professionals and parents and uses professional language when describing the consumer and/or behaviors.
  • Dresses appropriately and arrives on time for work.
  • Participate in all fundraising activities through distribution of materials and information.
  • Responsible for reading and following all Boundless policy and procedures found in the employee handbook.
  • Responsible for reading and following Child Care Licensing Policies, Medicaid, CARF, ASP and DODD policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for following all trainings on other policies and procedures.
  • All other assigned duties.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • College Degree in related field (preferred)
  • Minimum qualifications: at least 2 years of college in psychology or related field plus 3 years or more of experience in the mental health field.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to complete trainings
  • Must be detail oriented and have competent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities.
  • Utilize that information in daily therapies
  • Ability to perform emergency medical procedures when necessary
  • Ability to accurately document required therapy data
  • Operates and conducts self in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ability to hear and speak spoken language in communication with individuals served, other staff, family members of individuals, and members of the general public
  • Ability to accept and implement feedback and constructive criticism in teaching, overall job operations
  • Intermediate computer skills
