TGS is looking for an Information Security Analyst to join our growing team. Candidates must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

The Information Security Analyst is an integral component of a team supporting a Federal client’s organizational and digital transformation. The Information Security Analyst job is a mid-level to senior role for someone with at least 5+ years of experience in the field including a minimum of 2 years supporting large scale (Enterprise level) IT environments. The Information Security Analyst is an entrepreneurial and progressive thought leader, with proven experience and technical expertise supporting enterprise and customer security infrastructures. The Information Security Analyst will have focus on evaluating and assuring proper security compliance, identifying gaps, driving issue resolution, assisting with configuration management and interfacing with internal teams, vendors and other technical teams to analyze business and technical requirements and ensure security standards are in place.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Must be able to work across multiple operational and technical disciplines and provide direction and oversight through product development life cycle.
  • Be a subject matter expert and facilitate security governance and compliance conversations with Security, IT, Operations and Business stakeholders
  • Provide expertise interpreting and assistance with reporting on Federal Security compliance, such as FISMA and FedRamp
  • Provide expertise on PCI, PII Data Security Standards
  • Primary point of contact for the organization on business and technical projects as it pertains to network security infrastructure consolidation, integration, architecture design, and operational responsibilities
    • Experience writing technical documents (both collaboratively and independently); comfortable crafting documentation without templates and sometimes with minimal input from others
    • Experience managing, collaborating with and or supporting Enterprise level Security teams
    • Experience with design and deployment of security products in Cloud Environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google
  • Familiarization and or working knowledge of:
    • Security governance framework (policies, standards, controls) such as NIST, FISMA, OMB, CIS/SANS, ISO 27001.
    • Network security concepts including but not limited to SSH, IPsec, Firewall policies, etc.
    • Information Security fundamentals, best practices, and industry standards for asset protection, risk management and incident response.
  • Experience with implementation and use of network and security monitoring and fault management processes.
  • Experience performing network audits for compliance adherence.
  • Interface directly with internal and external clients/vendors and serve as primary technical point-of-contact.
  • Responsible for documentation, validation, and reporting on security and compliance matters for the organization.
 
Position Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Network / Data Security, Auditing and Compliance Management, with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience actively assessing risks and driving compliance of security controls in a Telecommunications, IT Network or Government environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer Science, Information Technology, Business or equivalent
  • Entrepreneurial and progressive thought leader, with proven experience developing and or supporting strategic and operational capabilities around virtual (public and/or private) environments.
  • Proficient in the design, development, delivery, documentation, and creation of IT modernization solutions.
  • Highly organized and autonomous working style.
  • Excellent communicational skills.
  • Team-oriented and flexible.
  • Motivated in fulfilling demanding, challenging and varied tasks.
  • Familiarity with waterfall and agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Framework.
  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product development life cycle.
  • Previous Federal consulting experience preferred, but not required.

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, perform simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move items that weigh up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
