As part of Endeavor Schools, Cranfield Acadmey - Providence skillfully balances gifted level academics with imaginative social and play experiences for preschool through elementary school.
Cranfield Academy, is currently seeking an Assistant School Leader to assist the Director in the day-to-day operations of the school while demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, professional conduct, and communication skills.
- Monitor students' progress and provide students and teachers with assistance in resolving any
- Confer with parents and staff to discuss educational activities and policies and students' behavioral or learning problems.
- Set educational standards and goals and help establish policies, procedures, and programs to carry them out.
- Direct, and monitor instructional methods and content of educational or student activity programs.
- Prepare and maintain attendance, activities, planning, accounting, or personnel reports and records.
- Recruit, hire, train, and co-evaluate staff and recommend personnel actions.
- Determine allocations of staff, supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Review and evaluate new and current programs to determine their efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with state, local, and federal regulations and recommend any necessary modifications.
- Prepare and submit government programs to solicit program funding.
Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership technique, operational methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Education and Training — Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
Psychology — Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, and personnel information systems.
Safety and Security — Knowledge of security operations, for the protection of people, data, and property. Evidence of sufficient security and judgment to handle crisis situations.
Education Level - Associate degree or higher in Child Care Administration or Early Childhood Education preferred or minimum requirement CDA with no advanced degree.
State Requirements - Specific requirements set by minimum State standards and/or accreditation; Directors Credential or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment.
Prior Work Experience - 3 years prior experience in similar role and/or in the field of early childhood education in an organization of comparable scope – highly desirable; willing to train the right person with less prior work experience.
Physical Demands - Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
