Job Description: STR is conducting advanced research in cyber and related disciplines, ranging from reverse engineering to formal methods and autonomous agent-based defenses, and from embedded systems hardware to enterprise cloud environments. We are seeking exceptional candidates to: Lead teams of engineers researching, developing and implementing cyber capabilities that advance the state of the art. Lead the demonstration of these capabilities on a range of platforms, from embedded to enterprise systems Interact effectively with national security customers and users to identify and develop project requirements and define innovative solutions Position may involve travel to customer meetings and test sites   Position Requirements Qualifications: A strong background in cyber, with a track record of substantial accomplishments; an advanced degree in computer science, mathematics or a related field is a positive but not essential; an ability to apply scientific and/or engineering techniques to abstract away from the specifics of cyber systems, in order to create robust, reproducible results. Superior communication skills, able to present results, research directions, and new concepts to customers, and to provide clear guidance to engineering teams tackling difficult, underspecified research challenges Strong software engineering abilities, demonstrated ability to manage all technical aspects of a multi-person engineering team US citizenship is required; must be able to obtain a security clearance STR seeks to provide an outstanding work environment for its employees with excellent benefits and competitive compensation.
