Cheer Pack North America is seeking a motivated individual to assist in the daily functions of our Human Resources department. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to learn and grow with a great company!
Essential to this hire is proficency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience in a front desk/receptionist role.

Position summary: Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The Human Resource Assistant will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties. Assist in the continued improvement of the Safety and Quality System.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Act in a supporting role resource for Human Resources, Customer Service and Operations in handling and managing specified projects and tasks
  • Answer all incoming calls, provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website and other related information
  • Assist in organizing meetings, trainings, appointments and company events
  • Assist various departments with projects on an as needed basis
  • Assist with the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies
  • Assist Quality Control Specialist with controlled documents
  • Assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating
  • Coordinate lunches with catering vendor
  • Greet and direct visitors to the company
  • Handle UPS mailings for HR
  • Receive, sort and forward incoming mail
  • Maintain security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
  • Report any potential food safety, quality, legality or food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel

Physical demands and work environment:

  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls: reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is/or may be exposed to high noise levels that require hearing protection. Employee may also be required to wear safety glasses and/or safety gloves.

Position Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • Working experience in similar roles
  • Professional appearance
  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure
  • High school degree or GED
  • Be available to work a 8 AM- 3 PM  M-F 
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise
  • Positive attitude and work ethic
  • Dependable
  • Independent worker, ability to work well with others
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

 

Qualifications desired:

  • Knowledge of GMP for food or medical packaging
  • Prior Manufacturing experience
  • Experience working with catering vendors
