Description

Tuknik Government Services (TGS) currently has an opening for an Agency Coordinator to support our government client in Fort Collins, CO. Candidates must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Our Agency Coordinator plays a critical transformational role in this major IT infrastructure modernization project. The Agency Coordinator manages the scheduling function for the modernization of services that reach over 10,000 sites. This role includes the art and science of incorporating unique needs and business calendars of agencies with transition plans and contractual obligations of the service vendor. It also includes both side’s readiness for change from access to buildings and locations to impact assessment and communication to impacted staff. This Agency Coordinator will be assisted by two site coordinators. The successful candidate will have exceptional project management, schedule management, and risk management skills and experience. Written and oral communication and organizational skills and experience are critical for success in this position.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead, plan, coordinate and manage program/project schedule and reporting for a wide array of IT/telecommunications technologies and functions.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple initiatives/projects in a large, complex and high paced environment under minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with resources across various infrastructure support teams, architecture and solution engineering, etc. and serve as the bridge between the service provider and customer agencies for service rollout at sites.
  • Keep all stakeholders engaged and informed about project status.
  • Identify and effectively manage schedule risks and issues throughout project lifecycle and ensure mitigation of all project blockers.
  • Utilize established project management methodology to manage the project life cycle and follow established and industry best practices and standards.
  • Ensure effective program/project ownership, delivery, communication, coordination, and facilitation of tasks and activities.
  • Demonstrate proactive behavior by leading program planning activities, defining scope, timelines and dependencies while ensuring consistent, predictable and successful delivery.
  • Work with the service delivery team on improving the process and procedures and ensure continued improvements and delivery excellence.
 
Position Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 7 + years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Competent and proficient understanding of project management software, such as Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Project Web Application.
  • Manage the project life cycle for technology IT modernization projects, including telecommunications and new technology lifecycle management.
  • Manage, coordinate, and establish priorities for project scheduling within contractual and business constraints and with multiple constituents simultaneously.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities; Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interface with and influence associates at diverse levels with different backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, planning, project management, and communication skills.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Previous Federal consulting experience preferred, but not required.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, business-related field, or equivalent required.
  • Current PMP certification required.

Working Environment & Conditions

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, perform simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move items that weigh up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
