Share Email Opening Title Programming and Membership Screenings Intern - Summer 2020 (Academy Gold)  Description Summary: The Academy is seeking an enthusiastic individual to serve as an Intern in the Programming and Membership Screenings department. You will have the opportunity to sit in on Programming meetings as well as Membership Screening Committee meetings, provide research on a wide variety of film-related projects both new and archival, as well as assist with the organization of upcoming programs and special events. Research will include working with the Academy's Margaret Herrick Library and Film Archive. Other duties of this position include basic administrative support. Responsibilities: Assemble research on a wide variety of film-related projects and maintain project files. Assist with the organization of upcoming public programs and special events. Serve as onsite liaison to talent at screenings and events. Other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements Evident interest in film programming and motion picture history. Outstanding research and writing skills. Strong proficiency in MS Office and online research. Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and focused on details. Outstanding communication skills with the aptitude to handle a variety of people, personalities, and situations with diplomacy, discretion and poise. This internship is part of the Academy Gold Program, an 8-week internship enhancement program that incorporates learning opportunities including an intensive two-day orientation, weekly panels, exclusive networking events, workshops, screenings, and mentorship opportunities with Academy members.
