Description

The Human Resources Generalist position provides Human Resources support. This position will work closely with local leaders and staff in assigned region to ensure HR and recruitment processes are running effectively and efficiently.

Human Resources

  • Assists with creating or updating job descriptions for new or updated positions.
  • Assists in interview process for positions when requested by regional leadership. This position will regularly be involved in the interview process for leadership positions within the assigned region.
  • Schedules and conducts new hire orientation for all new hires in assigned region.
  • Receives and manages employee grievances and termination appeals to ensure grievances/appeals are handled timely and according to policy.
  • Investigates global compliance complaints when assigned.
  • Assists managers with progressive disciplinary process by discussing issues, reviewing documentation, and providing guidance on recommended next steps.
  • Works with employees to answer questions and resolve concerns regarding policies, disciplinary actions or other general issues within programs.
  • Sets up and conducts exit interviews when notified that staff have resigned.
  • Works with HR Specialist on gathering information for unemployment claims related to assigned region.
  • Assists with training when requested by regional and HR leadership.
  • Schedules and conducts environmental scans on a regular basis with programs in region.
  • Schedules and conducts immediate environmental scans when concerns arise in a program.
  • Schedules and conducts regular audit file reviews in programs to ensure proper documentation is being kept or not kept in program audit files.

 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university or college.
  • Four years’ experience in Human Resources to include experience handling employee relations issues required.
  • Three years’ full cycle recruiting experience required.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP/SPHR/SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
  • Bi-Lingual Spanish/Mandarin/Hindi strongly preferred
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including clarity and articulation of thoughts, appropriate grammar, style, form and punctuation.
  • General knowledge of employment law and legal hiring practices.
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate and organize projects with attention detail and accuracy oriented.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and take the initiative to solve them.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Possession of state-appropriate, unrestricted driver’s license and current and valid auto insurance.
