General Position Description:

The Senior Application Developer works with the development team to design, develop, implement, and support new and modified features of software applications, primarily utilizing Microsoft .NET (C#). The person in this role will also design and develop data migration and integration processes to legacy systems using identified development tools and technologies. The Senior Application Developer may create services called from external applications to integrate with various platforms. The Senior Application Developer will leverage significant domain expertise to help functional areas make business decisions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IT applications and application integrations, while ensuring high levels of data availability, applications with existing systems software.
  • Work diligently to enhance or improve business processes via strategic application and integration development.
  • Ability to mentor more junior members of the staff and work collaboratively with peers across functional teams.
  • Responsible for handling customer support requests and must have self-management skills.

Working Relationships:

Will interact with all employees of the IT department on a regular basis as well as other cross-functional team-members at the administrative offices and clinics.

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 5 years of recent experience developing and supporting enterprise-level applications and integrations, utilizing Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages, preferably using C#.
  • Experience in relational database modeling, design and development, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET MVC, DOM, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, CSS, JSON, REST, Web Services, and XML.
  • Knowledge of PHP/Yii Framework, Stored Procedures, T-SQL, HL-7 Interface engines, Perl, ColdFusion, MDX Queries, and SharePoint.

Working Conditions:

Non-Center Based. Requires: the ability to sit at a computer for hours at a time (with some bending and stooping) and travel to Centers (if so, the noise level is moderate and there is potential for exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens).
