Mental Health Practitioner - Day Treatment Program

Category Healthcare
Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

To provide mental health service assessment, treatment and interventions for children/ teens in a group setting, that have been referred for Day Treatment services. Day Treatment is an intensive rehabilitative mental health service to youth whose mental health is significantly impairing their functioning in school, home and community environments. It is believed that providing comprehensive mental health services including group therapy, group skills, individual therapy and family therapy in addition to collaborating with other significant people in a child’s life can strengthen the child’s ability to effectively cope with mental health issues and receive the support necessary to function to the best of their ability. CTSS is a foundational element to the provision of services and it is important that rules surrounding CTSS are followed including services based on a Diagnostic Assessment, service recommendations and a treatment plan.
