JOB SUMMARY
The Material Handler handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas. Record movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies and verifies the accuracy of work performed. Assist in establishing guidelines and procedures by which material-handling function operates. Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. Provide work leadership and training to lower level Material Handlers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Count and/or weight incoming parts to verify receipt.
•Package and handle all material within guidelines set by company procedures and manuals.
•Perform cycle counts and contract inventories.
•Perform, assemble, organize, maintain, and/or route necessary documentation.
•Stock, store, and issue parts to meet Material Requirements Planning, internal, and external customers' needs.
•Make pickup and delivery of parts and materials within the greater Seattle metropolitan area. Possible transportation of hazardous materials.
•Safely operate Forklift, truck and narrow aisle lifts as required; become certified as forklift and/or manlift operator as required.
•Perform De-Kits and Restocks as necessary.
•Process parts, materials, and supplies into system as they are received from Receiving and Receiving Inspection.
•Perform stock sweeps as required.
•Kit parts and materials and route in accordance with valid manufacturing orders.
•Sales order picking as required.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Prefer a valid Washington State driver's license with the ability to safely operate vehicles up to 26,000 GVW and a driving record that is acceptable to meet the requirements of current DOT regulations. May be required to supply company with Washington State Drivers Abstract.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
