Description

The IT Store Level Support role is to ensure proper IT operations so that end users can accomplish Business tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user technical help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostics equipment and software, as well as help request tracking tools, and may require that the individual give hands-on technological support for our dynamic retail environment that includes, but is not limited to, point-of-sale and back office applications. The individual performing this role will be in charge of supporting our team at the store level from the IT standpoint, especially in areas related to our in store systems like our POS (ISS45), general Internet, connectivity issues, IP Phone solution, Clocking solution and some other systems developed internally or by third party companies. This person will be going to the stores on a daily basis making sure we take care of all requests documented thru our Helpdesk solution - Zendesk. In this role, the individual will be reaching out to our third parties who can provide some kind of assistance in certain areas like our POS systems, our HR solution, our Video Security solution or our general hardware and software environment.

Full time, hourly position. Must be available weekdays, weekends, holidays for various shifts and evenings. Work at multiple locations, including retail stores and support center.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that incoming customer calls and electronically reported issues are registered and handled concisely and efficiently to a customer-agreed resolution
  • Provide on-site support to all store locations within the organization, including, but not limited to, TVs, digital signage, mobile devices, computers, etc
  • Routine maintenance of store level equipment
  • Communicate any outstanding and/or critical issues, including customer concerns, immediately to the IT management
  • Participate in weekly rotation of on-call duties for after hours and weekends
  • Proactively identify problem areas which require correction or changes implemented and work towards a permanent or temporary resolution
  • Work with software and hardware vendors to find resolutions to problems encountered
  • Install and configure operating systems, including but not limited to, Windows, Windows Server, Linux, Mac OS X, iOS, Android and its variations
  • Maintain and support business IT hardware and software solutions, including POS, pin pads, scales, handhelds, and printers
  • Participate in current departmental projects
  • Learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude

Position Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with network and server infrastructure
  • Experience with Web Servers, Windows Domain environments, Active Directory, remote desktop, remote user support, and remote desktop/server maintenance
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Families

JOB PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping
  • Occasional lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
